Due to the impact of COVID-19, Kylie works with individuals and couples in-person at her Bella Vista office, OR online via video conference. If you're ready to book an appointment, click here to book online now with our online appointment scheduler.

If you're considering online sessions, the good news is online therapy can be as effective as face-to-face counselling sessions.

If you’ve never participated in online therapy, you may have some questions about how it works.

This page answers the most frequently asked questions about online therapy.

Who is online therapy for ?

Online Video Counselling is a convenient and safe option for everyone.

Online counselling is also useful for people that have difficulty travelling to appointments either because of distance/remoteness, mobility problems, people with childcare commitments or simply those with a busy family, work and travel schedule.

Isn’t some of the face-to-face interaction lost in online therapy?

No. Technology and video conferencing has come so far that it now typically feels the same as sitting in the room with your therapist. The video streaming and picture quality are generally so high that there is really no lag in the interaction with your therapist.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes! Over 30 years of research demonstrates that online therapy is as effective as face-to-face therapy for most issues.

Many of our clients tell us that they prefer online therapy to in-person therapy as they enjoy the convenience of doing a therapy session from any location and still get the benefits of a regular in-person therapy session.

Is online therapy safe and secure?

Yes! We use Zoom, which is a safe and secure video conferencing platform that encrypts the video between the users. Your counselling session is 100% confidential and cannot be seen or accessed by anyone other than the therapist and the clients in the meeting.

What are the minimum technology requirements I need for online therapy?

To join online therapy, you only need a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or Smartphone with a good internet/WiFi connection.

If you can watch YouTube videos or stream Netflix on your device without an issue, you will have no problem engaging in online therapy.

Of course, if you are not comfortable using these technologies, you can arrange a telephone counselling session, and simply take an ‘old-fashion’ phone call from your therapist.

How do I set up an online therapy appointment?

The process of setting up an online therapy appointment is quick and easy.

  1. Call Kylie Lepri on 0404 032636 or book online.
  2. We will confirm your booking and send you an email confirmation and paperwork for the first session, along with your meeting link.
  3. You send your completed paperwork back before the first meeting.
  4. You click the meeting link at the time of your meeting and join Kylie in her secure meeting room.

COVID-19 NOTICE:
