COVID-19 online support groups for stress and anxiety
The outbreak of COVID-19 is incredibly frightening and is causing significant concern and uncertainty for many people, both personally and professionally. During this stressful and challenging time, it is normal to be feeling anxious and overwhelmed, especially when media advice and reports are changing rapidly.
My goal is to continue to increase awareness and provide as much professional support and guidance as possible so we can reduce the suffering caused by COVID-19 stress and anxiety.
As such, in addition to my individual and couples counselling services I will also be offering weekly “COVID-19 online support groups” starting – Monday 6th April.
The following groups will be available to join:
Woman's Group
COVID-19: Information and Support for Managing Difficult Times
Taking care of yourself with topics covered like stress, anxiety, overwhelm, uncertainty, and coping strategies.
Men's Group
COVID-19: Information and Support for Managing Difficult Times
Taking care of yourself with topics covered like stress, anxiety, overwhelm, uncertainty and coping strategies.
Relationship Group
COVID-19: Taking care of your relationship
With topics covered like: managing conflict and stress, communication and strengthening connection.
Please note: Both partners do not need to attend.
Important information:
- I will be using Zoom to provide the group sessions. If you’re unfamiliar with Zoom, it’s a secure online video conferencing platform that’s very easy to join and use.
- You will be given the opportunity to submit any key concerns or questions prior to the group so I can tailor the group in a way that each member gets the maximum support and guidance as possible.
- There will be groups available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings to accommodate changing routines and schedules.
- Places are limited.
- No lock in contract- you can attend one or as many as you find helpful.
- You can attend anonymously – If preferred and for maximum comfort you can simply leave video off during the session
- Each group will consist of a maximum of 4 people.
- Each session will run for approx. 1hour.
- The cost is $45 per person.
